I think the above comments in the Herald’s article need a little clarification… from someone south of Auckland!
“Much of the country” – true, apart from here in Wellington where the weather was cloudy and dull, with drizzle and low cloud in the morning disrupting flights – a bad start to the holidays for many I’m sure.
“The fine spell could hang around for at least another day” – well, in the north and east of the North Island at least. Many other places further south should see brief rain or showers as a front sweeps up the country according to MetService forecasts…
